As we transition into 2025, it is a privilege to reflect on the incredible achievements Wenpower CIC has accomplished over the past year. This report captures the essence of our journey through 2024 and sets the stage for our ambitious targets in the coming year.
2024: A Year of Remarkable Progress and Impact
The year 2024 marked a significant period of growth and transformation for Wenpower. Our organization expanded fivefold, cementing its reputation as a trusted partner in Personal and Executive Coaching, Trauma Therapy, Organizational Development, Training Facilitation, and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion advocacy. This growth enabled us to collaborate with a diverse array of stakeholders, including private organizations, public health entities, schools, and executive teams across the UK and Africa.
Empowering Organizations: Our work has profoundly impacted individuals and organizations alike. Leaders reported reaching their highest potential, while global executive teams benefited from workshops that addressed critical topics such as decision-making, communication barriers, and unconscious power dynamics. We championed continuous improvement and sustainable success, providing businesses with the tools to refocus and thrive. We provided facilitation and workshops for charity boards through out the year.
NHS Workforce Developments: In 2024, Wenpower delivered groundbreaking presentations, including a landmark session on trauma, its triggers, and self-care strategies for NHS staff. This event, held during the first Welsh Staff Network gathering, was attended by nearly 100 professionals across Wales. It demonstrated our commitment to equipping healthcare workers with the tools to navigate the complexities of trauma. We delivered a hallmark training on The Essence of Inclusive Leadership, covering the core of Cultural Competency, diversity, and exploring the blind spots like Bias, Prejudice, and stereotyping, to over 20 NHS nurses that are aspiring into leadership at Swansea Bay UHB.
Training and Education Initiatives: We successfully delivered bespoke training packages addressing self-esteem, culturally relevant mental health practices, and mindfulness photography. Our interventions also included:
Training entire staff teams on well-being and stigma reduction.
Creating psychological safe spaces for male and female employees.
Offering clinical support for creative arts projects.
Our initiatives extended to schools, where we introduced programs addressing racism and unconscious bias. These early-stage efforts will form a cornerstone of our 2025 agenda. Additionally, we collaborated with a London-based charity to inspire young people in England, broadening their career horizons. Over 80 people collectively benefitted from these initiatives.
Empowering Individuals: We emphasized early intervention in mental health support and trauma therapy, particularly for individuals from global majority communities seeking sanctuary in the UK. Through advocacy, education, and diverse project delivery, we empowered these communities to rebuild their lives and achieve stability. We empowered the community through our expertise in Personal Coaching, Executive Coaching, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, and Narrative Exposure Therapy. All our services are delivered are in a trauma informed manner and also within the Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) model. We delivered effective transformative coaching and trauma therapy to over 60 individuals and families through out the year and the situations varied from supporting young adults facing discrimination to helping individuals transition into employment and education.
Staff Development: Our team made significant strides in professional development. All Wenpower staff are now Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) qualified, trained in Resilience. Continued supervision in coaching and trauma therapy has enhanced their expertise, enabling them to deliver exceptional services.
Policy and Global Alignment
Equality Act 2010: Wenpower’s initiatives continue to reflect and support the principles of equity and inclusion.
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): We actively contribute to global priorities, particularly in health, equality, and community resilience.
